Hinn Muang or Purple Rock in english is the one of the most beautiful dive sites in the southern Adaman sea and is suitable for experience divers or deep dive trainig only. Hin Muang lies 500 eters about to the west of Hin Daeng. The name means purple rock which commes from coloration of the tree soft corals around the rock. Hin Muang is submerged reef which lies on the sea floor about 60 meters deep and soars up to 8 meters below the surface. With beautiful coral communities like tree soft corals, sea fans, anemone and mushroom corals stick in the rock.

Marine Life

This site holds an amazing amount of the marine life, like Leopard Sharks often seen resting at the sandy bank on the eastern tip. Also White Tip Reef Shark are possible sightings here. Trigger fish, Barracudas, Snappers, Groupers, Trevally, Giant Moray, Lions fish, Puffer Porcupines fish and a lot of colorful fish like Angel fish, Moorish Idols, Oriental Sweetlips, Box fish are all common here. Look carefuly in the coral for Boxer Shrimps and Ghost Pipe fish. There are also many sightings of oceanic nomads like the Rainbow Runner, Tuna, Whale Shark and Manta Rays.
