Hin Daeng

 

Hin Daeng ( Red Rock ) is one from the best dive site of Krabi and also loes in the top five in Thailand. It is the furthest destination from Krabi, but it is possible to do a day trip via a speed boat from Ao Nang which takes about two and half hours. From Phi Phi Island it takes about one and half hours. From Koh Lanta cive vessels take about three and half hours. The dive site is suitable for the experience divers and also very good for deep diver training or Technical divers. Hin Daeng is named as so as it means the red rock, which comes about from the coloration of the red tree soft coral that decorate the rock. The Rock soars up from the sea floor to about two meters above the surface. The dive conditions can vary and the area can be prone to strong currents.

 

Marine Life

 

With its incredible amounts of marine life no diver will be upset. Groups of Round Batfish, Greát Barracudas, Big-eye Trevally fish, colorful surgeon fish and Trigger fish, Angel fish, butterfly fish, Moorish Idols are common here. Also some beautiful Tiny Nuddibrand and Ghost Pipefish that can be found. This site is well renowned for oceanic normad like Rainbow Runners, Tuna, Whale Shark and also Manta Rays.
